 Sand Grain of the Sea

This is the sand grain of the sea;

On that sea there is a ferry;

In that ferry there is a van;

In that van is a post;

In that post is a parcel;

In that parcel there is Wrapping paper;

In the wrapping paper there is ribbon;

In that ribbon there is a small box;

In that small box there is a shell;

In that shell there is a grain of sand;

Of a grain of sand, of a grain of sand;

A shell of a grain of sand.

Sand in the shell;

Shell in small box;

Small box tied in ribbon;

Ribbon in yellow wrapping paper;

Wrapping paper in a brown parcel;

Parcel in the small van;

Van on the huge ferry;

Ferry on the sea;

This is the sand grain of the sea;

Of thee sea is the sand grain.

The Mirror

There once was a very new mirror

In the middle of a shop window.

 One day a taxi man looked into it,

And saw himself in a golden palace.

A Bench Joiner noticed the mirror,

And saw orders for benches and gates.

A poet looked into the mirror,

And saw his poems in books.

A fifty-year-old woman looked into the ball,

And saw herself with long hair.

An Optician peered,

And saw happy people able to see.

The Queens Guard looked in the mirror,

And saw a golden certificate.

A young Bee looked into the mirror,

And saw lots of pollen-filled heather.

A builder nosed at the window,

But the shop Assistant put the mirror away.

The Snowman

Once upon a time there was a snow man called Frosty!

“He’s lost his nose can you help us find it.”

Is his nose in there?     No!

What about in there then?  No!

There’s His nose we’ve been looking all over for it!
